St. David's Round Rock Medical Center offers an HCA Healthcare Residency Program for new graduate nurses.

This year-long, paid program provides hands-on experience, mentorship from nurse educators and experienced staff, and structured learning experiences to ease the transition from student nurse to registered nurse. The program includes advanced clinical training, monthly education sessions, preceptorship, simulated skill assessments, and a collaborative evidence‑based project.

Formación

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Other Certifications may be required during employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
• No previous experience needed.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s) and document care.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor responses, and report adverse events.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating needs.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, medications and follow-up steps.
