Belton Regional Medical Center offers the HCA Nurse Residency Program to help new graduates transition to practice within a hospital setting. This paid program includes hands-on simulations, mentoring, and a structured series of learning experiences to build confidence and clinical skills.

Qualifications

• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS certification obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Registered Nurse license or Graduate Nurse eligibility within Missouri guidelines.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing completed prior to start date.
• No previous experience required.
• Other certifications may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications. Monitor patient for therapeutic response and notify provider as needed.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and proactively addressing needs.
• Teach patients, families and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects and follow-up measures.
