Job summary

LewisGale Hospital Pulaski is offering a year‑long HCA Healthcare Residency Program for graduates to transition from student nurse to registered nurse. The program provides hands-on experience, faculty mentorship, and a structured learning path with simulations, preceptorship, and monthly education sessions.

Participants gain advanced clinical exposure, mentorship from experienced nurse leaders, and opportunities to work on evidence‑based projects while delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of employment
• ACLS within 1 year of employment
• Other Certifications may be required during employment
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
• No previous experience needed
• Some travel may be needed for training

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift; report changes
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions ordered by medical providers; document care
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor response; notify provider if needed
• Provide exceptional care; respond to patient requests; anticipate needs
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up measures
