Job summary

The American Red Cross in Dubuque, IA is seeking a phlebotomy-focused team member to support mobile blood drives. No prior medical experience required as paid training is provided, and you will learn essential blood collection procedures while helping donors.

You'll drive Blood Collection vehicles, assist donors, set up and tear down equipment, and maintain a welcoming environment. The role offers a flexible schedule, extensive benefits, and opportunities to grow within the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
• Must be able to lift, stand and walk for long periods and work long, irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Drive blood collection vehicles to transport supplies, equipment, blood products and staff to mobile sites.
• Interact with donors to explain the donation process and its impact.
• Help create a welcoming environment so donors return for future drives.
• Ensure collection meets goals and complies with regulatory requirements.
• Assist with setup and teardown of equipment at donation sites.
