Job summary

Avera St Luke's invites nursing students to join as Clinical Interns for Summer 2027. The program requires pursuing a BSN and having 1–2 semesters remaining after Summer 2027. Interns work rotating days/evenings/nights/ weekends and gain hands-on experience under RN mentorship.

Interns will review prescriptions, assist with care plans, and support patient and family education while learning infection control and documentation standards in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in CCNE or NLN accredited RN program with 1–2 semesters remaining after Summer 2027.
• Currently pursuing BSN or higher degree.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under RN guidance, reviewing prescriptions and nursing plans.
• Document patient condition, interventions, and outcomes in records.
• Coordinate with physicians and care team to implement care plans.
