Job summary

Charter Manufacturing invites applications for a Mechanical Engineering Internship in Saukville, WI. This program offers hands-on experience across engineering, maintenance, quality and production in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will support and lead projects focused on process improvements, safety enhancements, and equipment upgrades while developing problem solving, collaboration, and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Ability to succeed in a team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create and update engineering drawings to support equipment and process needs.
• Support plant-wide safety and ergonomic improvement projects.
• Lead process improvement projects from initial concept through implementation and completion.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and other internal teams to execute projects.
• Work with contractors and suppliers to coordinate project needs and solutions.
• Gain hands-on exposure to mechanical engineering in a manufacturing environment.
