Job summary

Ziegler Inc. is offering an Intern Technician program designed to give hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing heavy diesel engines and equipment in a shop with mentorship from senior technicians.

You will learn to respond to customer needs in a positive, timely manner while developing real-world mechanical skills through scholarships and paid internships. Starting wage is $21.00 per hour with opportunities for mentorship and growth.

Qualifications

• Be currently enrolled in a 2-year degree program in diesel engine mechanics, construction and/or agricultural equipment mechanics or related study.
• Maintain good grades and receive positive instructor recommendations.
• Own a mechanic tool set and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• This role is safety-sensitive and will require a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing heavy diesel engines and equipment in a shop setting.
• Learn from senior technicians and respond positively to customer needs.
• Support diagnostic and repair work to ensure value for services performed.
