Job summary

Ziegler Inc. offers an internship program that gives hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing heavy diesel engines, construction and agricultural equipment. Intern Technicians work with senior technicians in a shop setting to develop real-world mechanical skills and professional know-how.

Starting wage for this internship is $21.00 per hour. The program includes scholarship opportunities, mentorship, safety boot reimbursements, PPE and uniforms, tool insurance, and a safe, supportive work

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 2-year degree program in diesel engine mechanics, construction and/or agricultural equipment mechanics or related study.
• Maintain good grades
• Receive positive recommendations from instructors
• Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player
• Own mechanic tool set
• Ability to maintain safe and clean work environment
• This role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing heavy diesel engines, construction or agriculture equipment in a shop environment.
• Assist in diagnosing and repairing equipment while learning from senior technicians.
• Learn to respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure value for work performed.
