Job summary

Unknown is seeking a motivated intern to support a boutique immigration law office in Covina. You will assist attorneys by preparing filing documents, contacting agencies to check status, and maintaining case databases during a paid six-month commitment.

Preferred candidates are pre-law students or those with strong MS Word/MS Outlook skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Opportunities for conversion may arise after one year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; Pre-law students are preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Outlook.
• Ability to prioritize projects.
• Attention to detail.
• Office work experience preferred but not required.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Work under attorney and case manager’s supervision to prepare filing documents
• Contact government agency to check case status
• Maintain internal database and update case status
• Prepare and update template documents
• Process incoming and outgoing mail
• Work on other ad hoc projects, including admin projects
