The Law Offices of Sabrina Li, P.C. is a leading immigration law firm headquartered in Los Angeles, California, with offices across the United States and international operations. Our firm is dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized legal services that make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.

We are seeking highly motivated, detail-oriented, and driven Legal Interns to join our team. This opportunity is designed for individuals currently pursuing or recently graduated with a law-related degree who are passionate about U.S. immigration law and eager to contribute meaningfully to our daily operations while developing practical skills in a dynamic and multicultural environment. In this role, you will work directly with supervising attorneys and staff on a wide range of assignments, gaining firsthand exposure to the practice of immigration law.

Why Join Us?

Make a Meaningful Contribution: As an Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting attorneys and clients by conducting research on immigration issues, analyzing case materials, and assisting with client-focused tasks. Your work—drafting summaries, exploring innovative engagement strategies, or supporting case preparation—directly impacts the quality of service we provide to individuals and families navigating the immigration system.

Build Practical Skills in Immigration Law: This program bridges the gap between academic study and real-world practice. You will gain experience in legal research, case analysis, and professional writing, while also learning strategies for client engagement. These skills prepare you to build and maintain a successful career in immigration law or related legal fields.

Supportive and Collaborative Environment: You will be part of a diverse, multicultural team that values respect, collaboration, and innovation. With training, mentorship, and ongoing guidance from experienced attorneys, you will find an environment where your contributions are recognized and your passion for immigration law is nurtured.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct legal research on immigration-related issues using case law, statutes, regulations, and secondary sources.
  • Assist in preparing forms, filings, and supporting evidence for immigration applications and petitions.
  • Summarize findings from research and present them in clear, concise formats.
  • Support attorneys in client-related tasks, including drafting correspondence and maintaining case records.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as organizing files, scanning and copying documents, mailing case packages, and tracking case deadlines.
  • Potentially interact with clients by gathering information, confirming details, or providing status updates under attorney guidance.
  • Collaborate with team members across a multicultural environment to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive client information.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a pre-law degree (e.g., Political Science, International Relations, History, Sociology, or related field) or planning to attend law school in the future.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin (required).
  • Genuine interest in U.S. immigration law and motivation to build a career in the legal field.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate information from multiple sources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and concise summaries.
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential client information.
  • Prior experience in legal, administrative, or client-service roles (preferred but not required).
Working Arrangement
  • Time Commitment: A minimum commitment of 12 weeks is required.
  • Schedule: Flexible scheduling is available, but interns are expected to maintain consistent weekly hours to ensure meaningful participation and learning.

This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand exposure to U.S. immigration law while working alongside a dedicated team of professionals. You will sharpen your research, writing, and client service skills, build meaningful connections, and develop the practical foundation necessary for a successful legal career. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of immigrants and are eager to take the next step toward law school or a legal profession, we encourage you to apply and grow with us!
