Job summary
US Foods invites students to join its Summer Internship Program in Rosemont, IL, for a hands-on experience across front-end and back-end web development. Interns work on APIs, data transformation, and user-facing applications, under direct supervision and with mentorship from leaders.
The internship runs June–August, is full-time and paid, and includes exposure to executive leadership and real-world projects.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering/IS/related field and enrolled during internship.
- Junior/Senior undergraduate or first/second year graduate students considered.
- OO programming coursework or practical experience.
- Java development coursework or experience.
- Database server development experience.
- Web application development or hands-on website development experience.
- Experience integrating front-end templates with back-end functionality.
- Experience with front-end web development languages.
Responsibilities
- Assist in project ideation from concept to delivery.
- Gather information from existing systems and analyze requirements.
- Prepare detailed specifications for programs to be developed.
- Develop moderately complex programs.
- Ensure programs meet standards and specifications.
- Develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.
- Create documentation of code and technical artifacts.
- Assist support and project personnel in resolving program issues.
