Job summary

Total Foodservice Group (TFG) is offering a part-time Field Service Technician Internship in the Texas region. The program provides paid hands-on training alongside experienced service technicians to service commercial kitchen equipment.

Interns will learn preventive maintenance, diagnostics, equipment installation, and documentation practices. High school diploma or enrollment in a technical program is preferred, with opportunities to transition into a full-time role after completion.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn a skilled trade and gain hands-on experience.
• No prior commercial kitchen equipment experience required—we'll train you.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians while building knowledge in preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and gas equipment issues with guidance.
• Assist with equipment installation and repairs.
• Reading service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Customer service and professional communication with clients
• Proper documentation of repairs and service activities
• Warehouse operations and equipment preparation
• Follow safety procedures and industry best practices
