Job summary

DLR Group, an integrated design firm, is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern in Charlotte to contribute to electrical system design for diverse projects. You will work closely with licensed engineers and cross-disciplinary teams through the design process from concept to documentation.

The paid summer internship runs May 18 through August 6, 2027. Candidates gain hands-on experience with Revit BIM, participate in meetings, and visit active construction sites where available.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
• Experience or interest in BIM (e.g. Autodesk Revit MEP) workflow.
• Interest in architectural building design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with a licensed engineer designing electrical systems for buildings or renovations.
• Attend design team meetings and observe coordination within a multi-disciplinary design team.
• Assist with design and development of construction documents using Revit.
• Visit active construction sites when feasible.
