Job summary

Cox Fleet in Oakland, CA is launching the FleeTec Academy—a paid, five-week intensive program that builds you into a Diesel and Trailer Technician. You are paid to learn the fundamentals of diesel and trailer repair, receive a toolbox and first-rate instruction at the campus.

After classroom training, you'll pair with a Lead Technician for hands-on training and may be offered a full-time Mobile Technician role in your market.

Qualifications

• Desire to start a career as a Diesel and Trailer Technician.
• Willingness to study hard for five weeks in full-time schooling.
• Commitment to 5 weeks away from home for training.
• Maturity to focus on the task at hand and professional growth.
• DOT regulations and background/DOT medical requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old with valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Attend five weeks of full-time classroom training with travel expenses paid.
• Undergo hands-on training with a Lead Technician in your market.
• Transition to a full-time Mobile Technician role after program completion.
• Receive a state-of-the-art mobile service vehicle for on-site repairs.
