Job summary

Philips Iberica SAU in Plymouth, MN offers a 6‑month paid co‑op for an undergraduate or graduate student in systems engineering. You will join the Image Guided Therapy Devices software R&D group to help define and verify system and software requirements for the IVUS Clinical Imaging Software Application.

You will work with experienced engineers, product owners, and testers to translate clinical use scenarios into traceable design inputs while gaining hands-on exposure to medical device software

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree.
• Interest in medical device software and systems engineering.
• Exposure to software development concepts and languages (C++, Java, C#, Python).

Responsibilities

• Assist with definition, analysis, and verification of system and software requirements.
• Support decomposition and allocation of requirements to software elements with traceability.
• Learn systems engineering methods and tools used to define and manage software system requirements.
• Help review software design specs, interfaces, and potential solutions under guidance.
• Document software system-user interaction models and gather stakeholder feedback.
• Complete required regulatory and quality standards training.
• Prepare and present an end-of-assignment presentation summarizing work and learnings.
