Job summary

ARCO Design/Build, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent Intern/Co-op to gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle, from site mobilization to completion, while learning from seasoned field leaders in a national design/build firm.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program (other related engineering majors will be considered)
• Driver's License
• Excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethics
• Previous Co-op or intern experience in construction preferred, but not required
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to the full lifecycle of a project while working alongside experienced professionals
• Participate in daily safety meetings, inspections, and promote a strong safety culture
• Assist with coordinating subcontractor activities and monitoring progress to keep projects on schedule
• Observe and support quality inspections to ensure work meets project plans and ARCO standards
• Attend subcontractor coordination meetings, owner walkthroughs, and project planning discussions
• Become familiar with construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings in the field
• Conduct site walks with experienced Superintendents to monitor progress and issues
• Assist with documenting daily job site activities and preparing daily reports
• Partner with Project Managers and field teams to understand office and field collaboration
