Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is offering a paid chemistry laboratory internship for full-time students enrolled at accredited four-year universities or recent chemistry graduates in North America. The program runs May through August and provides hands-on experience at a designated site.

Under supervision, you will assist with lab equipment installation, operation, and maintenance, perform data interpretation, and support daily analytical tasks while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in a four-year university or recent graduate in Chemistry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong data analysis and communication skills.
• Able to work under supervision in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, operation, and maintenance of chemistry lab equipment.
• Support daily analytical tasks and data interpretation for lab customers.
• Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement in the analytical lab.
• Maintain lab inventory and coordinate with vendors for supplies.
