Job summary

Invitation Homes Inc. invites rising seniors and graduate students to join a 10-week paid Acquisitions internship in Dallas, TX. You will assist in underwriting Build-to-Rent opportunities, collaborate on investment memos, and learn cash flow modeling to support committee decisions.

You will work with analysts, gaining hands-on experience in acquisition due diligence, market analysis, and data accuracy while supported by mentors and a structured development program.

Qualifications

• Rising senior or grad student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with expected graduation between December 2028 and May 2028.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with a technical tool (e.g., Excel, AI, Python, Tableau, SQL) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with underwriting single-family residential Build-to-Rent (BTR) projects, development opportunities, one-off purchases, and portfolio transactions.
• Collaborate with analysts and associates to draft investment memos presented to the Investment Committee.
• Learn to model cash flows, return projections, and other financial metrics to assess investment viability.
• Perform analysis on real estate market trends and investment performance to aid decision making.
• Ensure data accuracy through review of financial models and investment performance data.
• Complete ad-hoc projects assigned by the manager and mentor.
• Suggest improvements to existing processes and tools.
