Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Pomona, California. The position runs for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on 11-hour daytime shifts.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and must hold ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications. Duties include monitoring patients post-surgery, coordinating care plans, and reporting to physicians as needed.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required or in process.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.
• California RN license or eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and care for post-op patients as they recover from anesthesia.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond promptly.
• Develop and adjust care plans; report findings to the physician.
• Assess when patients are ready to move to a room or discharge.
