Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on the third shift. You will assess patients' needs, develop care plans, provide direct care, and support safe recovery after surgery.

The role requires Kentucky RN licensure, a BSN or ADN, BLS, and ACLS/PALS/NRP per department. You will supervise care delivery, delegate to PCTs and LPNs, and participate in on-call rotations on weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ needs and develop care plans.
• Provide direct patient care in the PACU.
• Demonstrate leadership and supervise/delegate to PCTs, LPNs, unit secretaries, and students.
• Manage patient care delivery and support quality care.
