Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky seeks a Registered Nurse for the ICU/CCU on 3rd shift. The RN provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care, prioritizes patient safety, and coordinates admissions, transfers, and discharges in a high-acuity setting.

The role emphasizes patient and family education, care planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes and a healing environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• Basic life support—Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don’t have it already.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care activities on the unit through nursing rounds, assessments and treatments.
• Facilitate admission, transfer and discharge activities.
• Provide patient and family-centered education.
• Coordinate care and develop individualized treatment plans as applicable.
