Saint Mary’s Health Network, a member of Prime Healthcare, seeks a skilled PACU Registered Nurse to join our Reno, NV perioperative team. You will deliver nursing care using the nursing process for PACU patients and coordinate post-operative care with surgeons and anesthesiologists.

The role requires a current RN license, BLS, ACLS (PALS preferred), and PACU or critical care experience; CCRN is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for Performance Improvement

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certification 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS (AHA) certification preferred.
• Previous Critical Care or PACU experience or minimum of one year on the job training.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) preferred.

Responsabilités

• The PACU RN is accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, delivering patient care through the nursing process.
• Coordinate post-operative care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist and guide other personnel within PACU.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and maintain standards of care and unit policies.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings; act as a resource as appropriate.
