Job summary

Saint Mary’s Health Network is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to deliver postoperative care in the PACU. The role reports to the OR Charge Nurse and Surgical Services Director and collaborates with surgeons and anesthesiologists to monitor patients and ensure safe recovery.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, BLS, ACLS (and PALS preferred), with prior Critical Care or PACU exp. The team emphasizes quality, compassion, and community values in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS (AHA) certificate preferred.
• Previous Critical Care or PACU experience or minimum of one year on the job training.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process in the PACU.
• Coordinate post-operative care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist.
• Maintain standards of care in the PACU and participate in Performance Improvement activities.
