Job summary

Saint Mary’s Health Network in Reno, NV seeks a dedicated PACU RN to deliver perioperative care in the post‑anesthesia care unit. You will work with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff to ensure safe patient recovery and timely transfers.

Active RN license in Nevada is required along with BLS; ACLS is required, and PALS is preferred. Prior critical care or PACU experience is highly valued. Full‑time shifts offer opportunities for growth within a respected hospital system.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS (AHA) certificate preferred.
• Previous Critical Care or PACU experience or minimum of one year on the job training.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of patient care through the nursing process in the PACU.
• Coordinate post-operative care with surgeon and anesthesiologist.
• Direct and guide other personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and unit meetings.
