Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Experienced RN for the PACU at OU Medical Center. The RN I/II/III levels depend on experience; full-time shift 8:00am-5:30pm in the Surgery Center.

The role focuses on patient care in hospital settings, administration of meds, monitoring, collaboration, and maintaining professional licensure. OU Health offers a sign-on bonus up to $10,000, student loan repayment up to $25,000, and relocation assistance for those moving 100+ miles.

Qualifications

• RN level depends on experience, education, and qualifications.
• Oklahoma RN license and BLS certification required upon hire.
• Experience in an acute operating room environment preferred or RN residency/orientation completion may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and maintains nursing professional practice standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, noting changes in physician orders.
• Assists physician in examination and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients and intervenes when necessary.
• Administers medications as prescribed.
• Initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products.
• Delivers patient care safely and competently.
• Informs patient and family of procedures and care plan during stay and discharge.
• Fosters mentorship and maintains licensure to develop professional skills.
• Develops a career plan aligned with enterprise metrics and monthly progress reviews.
