Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to deliver patient care using the nursing process within the PACU. You will coordinate post-operative care with surgeons and anesthesiologists and guide other staff to maintain high standards of care.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS and ACLS upon hire, with preference for Critical Care/PACU experience and a BSN. This is a part-time day-shift position with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain.
• ACLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• Previous Critical Care or PACU experience or minimum one year on the job training.
• CCRN preferred and BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process in the PACU.
• Coordinate post-operative care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist.
• Direct and guide other personnel while maintaining standards of care in the PACU.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in patient condition including hemodynamic monitoring and test results.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
