Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus Recovery Room/PACU is seeking a Registered Nurse to care for pediatric through adult patients in the immediate postoperative period. You will monitor airway, hemodynamics, sedation, and overall recovery, collaborating with OR/ED teams.

Bi-weekly hours are 64.00 with rotating shifts, rotating holidays, and call requirements. Candidates must hold Ohio RN licensure, BLS, ACLS and PALS. PRN experience preferred and must possess required certifications on hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or a program seeking accreditation.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient airway.
• Assess hemodynamic stability and support.
• Monitor sedation, neurological, neuromuscular, and sensory motor status.
• Provide adequate pain and comfort measures.
• Assess wound/incision integrity.
• Overall patient assessment.
• Work with OR/ ED/Inpatient RNs, anesthesia, surgeons, PT, Radiology, Pharmacy.
