Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Main Campus Recovery Room/PACU. You will care for Pediatric through Adult patients in the immediate post-operative period, managing airway, hemodynamics, sedation, pain control, and wound assessment as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold an Ohio RN license with BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or be within 6 months of hire). PRN staff require 1 year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current Ohio RN licensure
• BLS certified for healthcare providers or obtained within 90 days
• ACLS and PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient airway
• Assess hemodynamic stability and support
• Monitor sedation, neurological, neuromuscular, and sensory motor status
• Provide adequate pain and comfort measures
• Assess wound/incision integrity
• Overall patient assessment
