Job summary

Bingham Healthcare is seeking a compassionate PACU Registered Nurse to join the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit team in Southeast Idaho. You will deliver expert care to patients recovering from anesthesia, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, comfortable recovery and appropriate discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Current Idaho RN license is required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications strongly preferred.
• Recent hospital nursing experience (within 5 years) or graduate within 2 years.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Monitor airway, respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological status.
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments safely and effectively.
• Assess and manage post-operative pain using evidence-based practices.
• Educate patients and families regarding recovery expectations, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Provide reassurance and compassionate support during recovery.
