Job summary

Medical City Decatur is actively seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to deliver immediate post‑operative care, including airway support and wound care, as patients recover in the PACU. You will work closely with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure stable recovery and timely escalation when needed.

This role includes on‑call availability during select non‑business hours and belongs to a supportive team with access to staffing resources and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN (Registered Nurse) with post‑operative care experience preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required within 30 days of start date.
• Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in nursing (RN).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered post‑operative care.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams.
• Assess patient condition, monitor recovery, and document changes.
• Educate patients and families about post‑operative care and follow‑up.
