Job summary

Mercy St. Louis is hiring a Registered Nurse for the PACU unit on a full-time basis. The PACU RN supports post-operative care, collaborates with anesthesia, and handles a range of patients from routine recoveries to ICU-level cases.

Strong critical care skills and PACU/ICU experience are preferred. Expect 3 x 12-hour shifts (1100-2330) per week with opportunities for growth and professional development on a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• BLS certification through American Heart Association (AHA).
• Active RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to deliver patient care.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information.
• Coordinates patient care in collaboration with other departments.
• Care for PACU post-anesthesia patients, including pediatric and adult.
• Participates in weekend/holiday call as needed.
• Contributes to a collaborative, self-covered team environment.
