Tallahassee Plastic Surgery Clinic is seeking a full-time PACU Nurse to join our team. The PACU Nurse cares for patients recovering from anesthesia, monitors vitals, manages pain, and coordinates with the surgical team to ensure safe, high-quality post-operative care.

Ideal candidates have an ADN/BSN, RN license in Florida, and 2–3 years PACU experience with 1–2 years in a surgical setting; BLS; ACLS/CPAN may be required.

Formación

• ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• 2-3 years PACU RN experience; 1-2 years in a surgical setting preferred.
• RN license in the state of employment.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification may be required depending on clinical setting.
• CPAN certification may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Post-Anesthesia Monitoring: observe patients in recovery, ensure stable vital signs and smooth emergence.
• Pain Management: administer prescribed medications and assess effectiveness.
• Observation for Complications: monitor for bleeding, hematoma, or anesthesia reactions.
• Airway Management: provide airway support during recovery from sedative agents.
• Wound and Dressing Care: inspect and manage incisions and dressings.
• Patient Education and Discharge: provide recovery instructions and discharge planning.
• Documentation and Compliance: maintain accurate post-anesthesia records and follow protocols.
• Collaboration: work with surgeons and anesthesia team to ensure safe recovery.

Educación

ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program

2-3 years PACU RN experience; 1-2 years surgical setting

RN license in state of employment

BLS certification

ACLS certification may be required

CPAN certification may be required
