Job summary

Treasure Coast Center for Surgery in Florida is hiring a PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time role. The PACU RN will provide continuity and high-quality nursing care to patients emerging from anesthesia, monitor recovery, and ensure safety and comfort throughout the PACU stay.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians in procedure rooms as needed, performing assessments, planning and implementing care, and preparing patients and families for discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Prioritize and organize workload to meet patient/unit needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for PACU patients.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Provide total care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate for discharge.
