Job summary

Treasure Coast Center for Surgery is seeking a qualified RN PACU for a full-time position in Florida. The RN will provide continuous, high-quality nursing care to patients emerging from anesthesia, monitor patient conditions, and support perioperative processes across ophthalmology, urology, orthopedics, and gastroenterology procedures.

Requirements include a graduate of an accredited RN program, active Florida RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and 2 years of PACU/ICU experience

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with continual evaluation of the patient's condition.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
• May assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
