Job summary

SCA Health in Des Plaines, IL is actively hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PACU to support perioperative care and patient recovery.

The role involves assessing patients, developing perianesthesia plans, delivering clear hand-offs, and performing duties as assigned. An Accredited School of Nursing graduate with active state licensure and BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of PACU experience preferred.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment or current.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment or current.
• PALS certification required if pediatric care is included within 90 days of employment or current.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative or Perianesthesia preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status throughout the episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care by implementing.
• Provide hand-off report to other teammates that are accurate, concise and pertinent to the patient’s condition and response to care.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
