University of Southern California seeks a skilled PACU Registered Nurse to coordinate patient care and education following perioperative procedures. The RN will utilize evidence-based practices to support patients and families in a compassionate environment.

Requirements include a BSN, CA RN license, 1 year PACU or high-acuity ICU experience, and certifications (BLS, ACLS; PALS preferred). The role involves collaboration with the perioperative team and ongoing professional development.

Formación

• BSN degree required.
• 1 year PACU experience or 1 year in a high acuity ICU.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of medical procedures including whole blood collection and apheresis.
• Registered Nurse - RN (CA Board of Registered Nursing).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Manages PACU patients using evidence-based practice and nursing process.
• Develops and implements care plans for direct and indirect care.
• Educates patients and families about health treatment.
• Delegates tasks based on scope of practice and capabilities.
• Collaborates with surgeons and healthcare team to provide care.
