Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Same Day Surgery - PACU at Anderson Hospital. You will deliver high-quality nursing care across the perioperative continuum, from pre-op through post-op recovery, coordinating with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, Ohio RN licensure, and relevant perioperative experience; BLS/ACLS or PALS are preferred, with CNOR and SGNA certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of Ohio (or eligible)
• Current BLS/ACLS or PALS (preferred, must obtain prior to direct patient care)
• CNOR certification (preferred, not required)
• SGNA certification (preferred, not required)
• Two years of RN experience in a Critical Care Department (preferred)
• Completion of OR internship (preferred)
• Peri-op 101 training (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment
• Observe the surgery and surgical team and assist to maintain a safe environment
• Manage nursing care in the OR and coordinate with other care providers
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care including discharge instructions
• Other duties as assigned
