Job summary

Mercy Health's OR RN position at St. Anne Hospital in Ohio delivers high-quality perioperative nursing care across pre-op, intra-op and post-op stages. You will assess patients, collaborate with the surgical team and coordinate with other providers to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires active RN licensure, BLS and a background in perioperative care; ACLS/PALS and CNOR/SGNA are preferred. This is a PRN/as-needed assignment within Mercy Health's outpatient surgery services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; ACLS or PALS preferred.
• CNOR and SGNA are preferred but not required.
• Two years of RN experience in a Critical Care setting is preferred.
• Completion of OR internship program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment in the OR.
• Observe the surgical team and maintain a safe environment.
• Manage nursing care within the OR and coordinate with care providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op and post-op care and discharge instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
