Job summary

SCA Health in Mobile, AL is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for PACU. You will rotate between Pre-Op, PACU and Pain Management Procedures to deliver focused patient care.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, active licensure in good standing, and BLS/BCLS; ACLS and PALS are required or soon after employment. This full-time position offers competitive pay on a hourly basis and opportunities to grow within a patient-centered network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of PACU experience preferred.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing.
• BLS/BCLS within 90 days or current certification.
• ACLS within 90 days or current certification.
• PALS within 90 days if pediatric care is included.
• Perioperative/Perianesthesia certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status throughout the episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care by implementing.
• Provide hand-off report to other teammates that are accurate, concise and pertinent to the patient’s condition and response to care.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
