Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to provide immediate post‑operative care, monitor airway and neurological status, and respond to complications. You will work with the surgical and anesthesia teams and be on-call during select non-business hours.

Responsibilities include wound care, documenting patient condition, and educating families about treatment and follow‑up measures. ACLS/BLS and RN licensure are required.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 30 days of start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• (RN) Licensed Registered Nurse.
• RN Diploma or equiv. credential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in post‑operative setting.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams.
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and leadership.
• Monitor airway, neuro and cardiac status; document changes.
• Educate patients and families about treatment and follow-up.
