Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse at St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center for immediate post-operative care.

You will manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, perform wound care, and ensure patient stability during recovery in a collaborative surgical/anesthesia setting. The role includes on-call availability during select non-business hours and a 4-weeknight, 10-hour shift schedule from 9p to 7:30a with no regular on-call duties.

Qualifications

• ACLS required within 90 days of employment start date.
• BLS required for all RN roles.
• PALS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams for patient recovery.
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking to provide safe care.
• Monitor patient conditions, document changes, and communicate updates.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up.
