Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to provide post-operative care, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and support airway management. You will collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams and participate in on-call coverage during select non-business hours.

Responsibilities include applying evidence-based practices, wound care, and patient education while ensuring stability during recovery and documenting changes thoroughly.

Qualifications

• RN (Registered Nurse) required.
• RN Diploma required.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• PALS certification must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in PACU, ICU or ED.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia team in care delivery.
• Independently deliver safe nursing care using nursing process and clinical judgment.
• Assess patient condition, monitor changes, and document care and status.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up.
