Job summary

LewisGale Hospital Montgomery in Virginia is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to provide immediate post-operative care for surgical patients. You will monitor neurological and cardiac status, manage airway support, and collaborate with the anesthesia team. On-call hours may be discussed at interview.

Role emphasizes patient safety, education, and continuous improvement within a supportive leadership structure and staffing resources.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 4 months of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• RN - Registered Nurse credential.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Associate Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices.
• Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team – provider(s), therapy, and more.
• Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking, and clinical judgment to independently deliver safe nursing care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor throughout the shift, and document changes and care provided thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments and follow-up measures.
