Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Preop/PACU department. The role involves providing caring, evidence-based nursing in a fast-paced environment with a 1:2 nurse-patient ratio in PACU and hourly preop arrivals.

Nurses are cross-trained across preop and PACU and have access to mentorship from tenured staff. The RN will collaborate with the team, deliver holistic patient care, and follow organizational standards, policies, and nursing process guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate from school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• For Casual RNs 2 years of experience is required.
• New grads with <1 year may join Nurse Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care with emphasis on patient safety and quality.
• Assess and develop plans of care with patient and family.
• Communicate pertinent information to team promptly.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately.
• Care for assigned patients and supervise other staff when appropriate.
