Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Preop/PACU department. The role involves caring for preop and post-surgical patients with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in PACU and hourly preop patient flow, within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• 2 years of experience for Casual RNs.
• New graduate nurses with <1 year of clinical experience enroll in Nurse Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care, ensures patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism in nursing practice within the Magnet Recognition Model.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patients, collaborates with patient and family to develop and implement a plan of care.
• Communicates pertinent information to team members in a timely manner and keeps patient/family updated.
• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately according to standards.
• Assumes responsibility for care provided by other licensed and unlicensed caregivers as appropriate.
