Job summary

UW Medical Center-Montlake in Seattle is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse for the PACU Department. The RN uses nursing process to provide patient care, exercises independent judgment, and collaborates with patients, families and the care team to restore health and independence.

This role supervises ancillary staff; requires current WA license, 1 year ICU/ED/PACU experience, ACLS certification. Evening shift 1300-2330, ten-hour shifts, with competitive pay and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted WA license
• One year of recent ICU or ED/ER experience or prior PACU, Phase I and Phase 2
• ACLS required

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse uses the nursing process to provide patient care and exercises independent nursing judgment in managing care for patients with complex health problems.
• Collaborates with patients, families and other healthcare providers to promote return to health and independence in self-care.
• Supervises and coordinates the work of ancillary healthcare personnel.
