University of Washington Medical Center Montlake is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU department. The RN provides patient care using the nursing process, exercises independent judgment, and collaborates with patients, families and other clinicians to promote recovery.

The position is full-time with Day/Evening shifts on ten-hour rotations. WA license and ACLS are required; ICU/ED/ PACU experience is preferred. Competitive hourly pay plus built-in shift differentials.

Primary Job Responsibilites

The Registered Nurse is a licensed practitioner who uses the nursing process to provide patient care. This includes exercising independent nursing judgment in managing the care of patients with complex health problem(s) and collaborating with patient, family and other healthcare providers/disciplines to optimize the patient’s return to health and promote independence in self-care. Supervises and coordinates the work of ancillary healthcare personnel.

Requirements

Current unrestricted WA license

One year of recent ICU or ED/ER experience or prior PACU, Phase I and Phase 2

ACLS required

L-RN | REGISTERED NURSE LICENSE - WA State or Valid Multistate RN license

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
