Job summary

HonorHealth in Mesa, AZ is seeking an RN with PACU experience to join the operating room/preop recovery team. The role involves delivering skilled post-anesthesia care, administering medications, and contributing to the patient care plan within a busy surgical unit.

You will assess patients, collaborate with physicians, and support both patient families and newer staff while maintaining quality and safety standards in a nonprofit healthcare system that serves the greater Phoenix area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience.
• Ability to handle call shifts and on-call requirements.
• Current RN license in the state of Arizona is required/active.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and IV therapy per physician orders.
• Monitor patient status, record vital signs and responses to treatment.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Provide patient and family education on post-operative care and discharge needs.
• Maintain patient safety, infection control and data documentation per standards.
• Guide and supervise nursing support staff and ensure smooth unit operations.
