Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. You will assess, monitor, and care for surgical patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes while documenting in Epic EMR.

Qualified candidates have an unrestricted RN license, 1–2 years PACU/ICU/ED or perioperative experience, and BLS/ACLS (PALS if required).

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 1–2 years of recent PACU, ICU, ED, or perioperative nursing experience.
• Current Epic EMR documentation experience.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification; PALS if required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and care for patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical interventions.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products per orders and protocols.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and care teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
• Document assessments, interventions, medications, and outcomes in Epic EMR.
• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards; participate in quality initiatives.
