Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a registered nurse to join our Central Region nursing team. The role requires a Texas license and BLS certification, with RN levels I–IV aligned to experience from under 1 year to 10+ years.

The nurse will provide professional care, assess patients, educate families, and document care in medical records, while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing; Basic Life Support certification.
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to the nursing skills inventory and patient age/needs.
• Coordinates the planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team.
• Administers appropriate clinical decisions in the delivery of patient care.
• Collaborates with, directs, and may delegate to the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes based on data and standards.
• Coordinates treatment plans; develops and implements discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in systemic evaluation of programs, process improvement and outcomes.
• Adheres to regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards.
• Considers diverse patient needs, ensuring highest level of service and patient experience.
• Promotes growth and development; may serve as preceptor, mentor or resource to staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
